POSSIBILITIES FOR THE CONSERVATION OF TIMBER, USED IN RESIDENTIAL AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS

Резюме

The results for the defining of the quantity of the intake substance (intake – P), swelling -  shrinkage – the volume anti-swelling effect – ASEv, coefficient of effectivity – Kasev of the treated with conservative means beech timber (Fagus silvatica L.) and Macedonia pine (Pinus peuce Gris.) have been given. The processing of the sample bodies has been carried out in concordance with requirements of the active standards. As conservative means are used impregnator and finish – impregnator, offered by the Italian firm „Atria“.

The results from the research could be used as recommendations in the furniture production, wood assembled houses and constructions in the special productions, as well as from laboratories for testing timber and timber materials, and for preventive control of the quality of the produced timber products.

Резюме

A comparative analysis between the destructive bending moments of end and T-shape corner joints of details from solid chestnut wood (Castanea sativa Mill.) with cross section of 50 x 25 mm has been done.

In this study has been found that the types of joints and the area of their contact surface have considerably influence on their strength characteristics. The T-shape corner joints have in average about 20 % higher destructive bending moment compare to the end corner joints. The non-dismountable mortise and tenon joints are destroyed by average of 80 % higher bending moment compare to the dismountable joints. Dowel joints have two times lower bending moment compare to the mortise and tenon joints and from 3 to 24 % higher bending moment compare to the dismountable joints.

Резюме

The paper shows the results of the studies on the strength characteristics of the end corner joints of the structural elements of solid beech wood with a cross section of 50 x 25 mm used in the construction of seating furniture.

It has been found out that, on the basis of the values of the destructive bending moment, the non-dismountable end corner joints are arranged in the following descending order: half-open mortise and tenon joint; blind stub mortise and tenon joint with dowel and cross dowel; blind stub mortise and tenon joint and dowel joints.

It has been found out that, on the basis of the values of the destructive bending moment, the dismountable end corner joints are arranged in the following descending order: joints with two one-piece connectors “Confirmat” following by joint with two universal connectors with bolt and cross dowel.

It is recommended to use the studies’ results in calculating the dimensions of seating furniture.

Резюме

Съобщават се резултатите от изследванията върху физикомеханичните и технологични свойства на дървесината на обикновения кестен от различни месторастения в България. Моделни дървета за изследванията са доставени от Беласица, Славянка, Пирин планина и Западна Стара планина.

Установено е, че дървесината на обикновения кестен притежава благоприятни декоративно-художествени, физикомеханични и технологични свойства за използването ѝ в конструкциите на мебелите, вратите, прозорците и в интериора на жилищните и обществените сгради, включително и за компоненти на паметници на културата с национално-историческо и декоративно-художествено значение. Препоръчва се да се организира селективен добив на облите кестенови материали и целесъобразно използване на дървесината им.

Резюме

Дадени са резултатите от изследванията върху якостната характеристика на средните ъглови съединения на детайли от масивна кестенова дървесина с напречно сечение 50 x 25 mm, използвани в конструкцията на мебелите за седене.

Установено е, че според стойността на разрушаващия огъващ момент неразглобяемите средни ъглови съединения се подреждат в следния низходящ ред: чрез проходящ овален чеп и длаб тип А; чрез непроходящ овален чеп и длаб тип А; чрез проходящ овален чеп и длаб тип Б; чрез овален чеп и длаб тип Б; чрез две дибли ф 10 mm; чрез овален вставен чеп и длаб.

Според стойността на разрушаващия огъващ момент разглобяемите средни ъглови съединения се подреждат в следния низходящ ред: чрез две едноелементни разглобки тип „confirmat“; чрез два винта за дървесина; чрез две разглобки с болт и гайка тип „шведска“.

Препоръчва се резултатите от изследванията да се използват при оразмеряването на мебелите за седене.

Резюме

A comparative analysis has been done on the experimentally found destructive bending moments in the loading of bending of the most commonly used end and T – shape corner joints of details from solid chestnut wood with two types of cross section of the details – 50 x 25mm and 50 x 30mm.

It has been found, that the type of joints and the thickness of the joining details have a definite impact on their destructive bending moments.

With the increase of the thickness of the details from 25 to 30 mm (with 20 %), the destructive bending moments in the loading of bending of the end glued and dismountable corner joints increase respectively with around 28 % and with 33 %, and of the T – shape corner joints – with around 23 % and around 17 %.

It is recommended that the found out destructive bending moments in the loading of bending and the most commonly used end and T – shape corner joints of details from solid chestnut timber with cross section 50 x 25mm and 50 x 30 mm be taken into consideration in the choice of the type of joints in the sitting furniture construction.

Резюме

In this work, the ultimate tensile strength of some T-shape corner joints of structural elements of solid beech wood with cross section 50 x 25 mm used in the construction of seating furniture is investigated. It has been found that with reference to the value of ultimate tensile strength, the glued T-shape corner joints are arranged in the following descending series: with stub mortise and tenon; with wedged mortise and tenon; with stub mortise and tenon and dowel, with dowels. With reference to the value of the ultimate tensile strength the dismountable end corner joints are arranged in the following descending series: with two connectors with screw and cross dowel; with two one-piece connectors “Confirmat”. It is recommended that the results from this research can be utilized when calculating the dimensions of seating furniture.
